PORTRAITS

All you need to do to achieve the best result is provide me with high quality reference photographs (or at least one) with no blurring and where the face features are clearly visible (good lighting). It's always a good idea to have more than one photo to understand more about the character of the person or animal to be portrayed and to have views from different angles so to have a better idea of their physical features. I usually paint in a realistic style, but I'm happy to consider any other style you might require. Portraits can take from days to months to complete, depending on size, number of subjects, medium, style, difficulty and waiting times.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK

You might also have in mind something different, an original piece of artwork. Take a look at my Original Artwork to see some samples of what I have painted recently.  Would a painting with subjects of your choice suit you?  Maybe a combination of styles or elements or a more modern painting in the style of a famous painter?

HOW LONG WILL YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR YOUR PAINTING TO BE FINISHED?

Clearly each piece is different from another and there are a lot of factors to be considered including type of commission (portrait, reproduction, original), size, style, difficulty level and detail, etc. In general a portrait of medium size ad difficulty might take anything between 1 and 4 weeks, depending also on the current work load at the time. When agreeing to a commission and if time is an issue, I'll do my best to accomodate the requests of the customers.
